LineageOS 14.1 receiving OTA updates again!

I recently downloaded and installed the LineageOS 14.1 custom ROM (Nougat) developed by MSe1969 (see A Stable Custom ROM for the Moto G3). My rationale was that this is one of the few – the only one that have found – custom ROM’s that has a recent history of monthly updates with Google’s security patches.

Today, I received a notice that the September 9, 2019 update was available so I immediately downloaded and installed the patch (Settings – About Phone – LineageOS updates). The installation process is automatic; the phone boots into recovery mode, loads TWRP, installs the patch, and then reboots back to the system.

So far, I have used the E-mail, web browser and camera apps and all are functioning normally. I also checked the timer on the clock and was pleased to find that no rooster was in evidence (see: And in that very moment… a cock crowed).

And in that very moment… no cock crowed [with apologies to J.R.R. Tolkien].
